Recently, CYG SUNRI Co., Ltd. (CYG SUNRI), a subsidiary of Changyuan Technology Group Ltd.(CYG), successfully delivered a complete mobile substation solution for State Grid Puyang Power Supply Company’s first-ever mobile substation—an expansion project for the 35kV Wenliu Substation in Puyang County, Henan Province. The project included the supply of primary and secondary equipment, prefabricated cabins, and heavy-duty vehicle platforms, providing reliable support for safe and stable grid operation during the summer peak load period.
As the first mobile substation constructed and commissioned in Puyang, the Wenliu project integrates multiple advanced technologies, including complete primary and secondary equipment systems, modular prefabrication, and heavy-duty mobile platforms. The entire substation—including transformer, switchgear, distribution equipment, reactive power compensation units, and secondary systems—was deployed across three movable vehicle platforms, effectively creating a fully operational, mobile substation.
As part of the State Grid Henan Electric Power Company’s key prefabricated substation initiatives for 2024, CYG SUNRI supplied multiple mobile substations, including the Wenliu project. Leveraging its technical, manufacturing, and supply chain advantages across CYG, CYG SUNRI implemented full life-cycle project management and efficiently collaborated with all stakeholders—covering requirement analysis, system design, manufacturing, quality control, and integrated commissioning. Despite tight timelines and heavy workloads, the team worked in close coordination to ensure seamless handover at each stage and guarantee timely delivery and smooth commissioning.
Revolutionizing Substation Construction: Efficient, Flexible, and Modular.
Innovative Model: Faster Build, Higher Efficiency
Unlike traditional substations, mobile substations offer significant advantages such as flexible combination, repeatable use, and easy mobility. They enable flexible on-site layout with minimal civil work. The Wenliu project transformed substation development from traditional “on-site construction” to an “assembly-based” model, with field installation and commissioning completed in just 12 days—proving the speed and efficiency of this modular approach.
Rapid Deployment: Agile Response to Urgent Needs
Thanks to their mobile design, these substations can be quickly deployed in areas not covered by fixed substations or in emergency scenarios requiring temporary power supply. Their modular combination of transformation, distribution, and reactive compensation equipment—much like “building blocks”—can be flexibly configured to meet different power application scenarios, efficiently addressing emergency outages, insufficient capacity, and poor power quality due to low reactive support.
Scenario-Ready: Emergency Power Assurance
Mobile substations are particularly advantageous in scenarios such as emergency repairs and disaster response, reducing emergency power deployment time from days to hours. Their standardized, fully assembled design also significantly improves on-site installation quality and reliability, making them especially effective in critical situations.
This innovative practice provides an efficient and adaptable solution to overcome regional power supply bottlenecks, meet seasonal peak demand, and respond to sudden power needs—strongly supporting grid stability and safety.
Looking ahead, CYG SUNRI will continue to drive innovation and uphold the mission of “For a safer and easier use of energy,” steadily advancing new power technologies, enhancing grid risk management, and contributing to the construction of a high-quality power grid.
